Terms of Service

Last updated: August 18, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JotSchedule (the "Service"), a queue and appointment management application available at jotschedule.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

JotSchedule provides walk-in queue management, staff rotation, online appointment booking, and related tools for salons, barbershops, and similar walk-in or appointment businesses. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account, and you are responsible for activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the business you register.

Staff accounts work differently: they are created by invitation from a business already using the Service, rather than by signing up. If you use one, these Terms apply to you too. The business decides who it invites and what each person may see and do, can withdraw that access at any time, and is responsible for the activity of the people it invites.

3. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is offered in two plans, billed through Stripe: Starter at $29 per month and Pro at $59 per month. Your first subscription begins with a 14-day free trial. Locations you add afterwards join that same subscription and begin billing straight away rather than starting a new trial of their own.

If you run more than one location, you have a single subscription covering all of them rather than a separate bill for each. Your monthly total is your plan's price multiplied by the number of locations it covers, and the Billing page lists which ones those are.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page, which opens Stripe's secure customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Adding a location, closing one, or switching plans changes your subscription part-way through a billing period, and that period's invoice is adjusted pro rata — an addition is charged for the remainder of the period, and a removal is credited against what you owe next. Apart from those automatic adjustments, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your data and your clients

You retain ownership of the data you and your clients enter into the Service (such as client names, contact details, and appointment history). You are responsible for having the right to enter that information and for complying with laws that apply to your business, including obtaining any consent required to send notifications to your clients.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, you may request an export or deletion of your data by emailing support@jotschedule.com; we will delete it within 30 days of a verified request, except records we are required to retain for legal, tax, or billing purposes. This applies regardless of where you or your clients are located, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how to exercise these rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other users' data, disrupting the Service, sending unlawful or unsolicited messages through it, or using it for any illegal purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. For support, email support@jotschedule.com or use the contact form at jotschedule.com/contact.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JotSchedule's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business or missed appointments.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold JotSchedule harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or a third party's rights, including claims brought by your clients or staff.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms with notice where practicable. Upon termination you may request an export of your data within 30 days.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or within the Service before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
